'Tis the Season Holiday Marketplace is a three-day shopping event filled with aisle after aisle of upscale and unique gifts. The inaugural holiday shopping extravaganza, held in November 2007, featured a juried selection of approximately 80 unique merchants from across the country and attracted scores of enthusiastic shoppers who made their lists, checked them twice, and bought gifts for both the naughty and nice!
Held at the Factory at Franklin, 'Tis the Season includes 26,000 square feet of shopping filled with designer clothing, posh accessories, gourmet food, home décor, housewares, and many other high-end items.
'Tis the Season is a major fundraiser for the Junior League of Nashville. All proceeds from this event go directly into the community to support our mission of improving the lives of women, children, and families.
"The Junior League of Nashville has a longstanding history of highly successful community events dating back to 1922, and we know that Tis the Season Holiday Marketplace will continue in this tradition," said Mary Rigby, Junior League President (2007-2008). "Some of the most successful marketplace events in the country are presented by Junior Leagues, and the time is now to kick off a marketplace in Middle Tennessee."
The Junior League of Nashville (JLN) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the Nashville community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Today, JLN has 2,000 members who are active in charitable causes that improve the lives of women, children, and families. JLN has founded many important Nashville resources, including the Junior League Home for Crippled Children in 1923 (now a part of Vanderbilt Children's Hospital), Renewal House and the JLN Children's Services at the downtown Nashville Public Library.
