Junior League of Nashville Hosts Third Annual Nonprofit Symposium
On Tuesday, March 3, Junior League of Nashville welcomed nonprofit leaders, staff, and board members from across the community for its Third Annual Nonprofit Symposium. The event created a space for attendees to explore organizational growth, leadership development, and sustainability while connecting with others committed to strengthening the nonprofit sector.
Through a series of presentations and a Fireside Chat Panel, participants gained valuable insights from experienced nonprofit leaders who shared strategies for navigating challenges, building strong organizations, and creating meaningful change. The symposium encouraged conversation, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas that attendees could apply within their own organizations.
This year’s symposium featured six distinguished nonprofit leaders who shared their expertise, experiences, and perspectives with attendees. Their presentations challenged participants to think creatively about the future of their organizations and provided valuable guidance for continuing to support the communities they serve.

Featured speakers included:
- Dr. C.J. Sentell, CEO, The Nashville Food Project
- Katina Beard, MSPH, CEO, Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center
- Natalie Hennessy Firkser, Founder and Executive Director, The Aloe Family
- Dr. Jocelyn Imani, Senior Director of Black History & Culture, The Trust for Public Land
- Brandi Jack, CEO, Nashville Diaper Connection
- Colleen Mayer, CEO, The Store
Beyond professional development, the symposium highlighted Junior League of Nashville’s commitment to building strong relationships with our 2025-2026 community partners. By welcoming leaders from organizations such as The Aloe Family, Nashville Diaper Connection, and The Store, the event celebrated the partnerships that continue to advance shared goals and create opportunities for collaboration.
