Message from the President

Thank you for your interest in the Junior League of Nashville (JLN), a powerful organization of women devoted to building a better community. As we embark on our 103rd year of service and leadership in the Nashville community, I welcome you to learn more about the League, whether as a potential member, community partner, or corporate sponsor.

In the 2025-2026 League year, JLN women will continue driving change in our focus areas of alleviating poverty and improving childhood literacy through our community agency partnerships and volunteer opportunities. Our membership is a diverse powerhouse of approximately 1,400 women who represent a variety of perspectives, professional backgrounds, and experiences. I look forward to seeing how each of them will carry out our mission this year and continue to shape the future of our city.

Our mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. We are continually challenging ourselves to innovate and find new ways to fulfill this mission.

Since 1922, our members have proactively identified areas of need in our community, taken action to address those needs, and supported organizations that provide vital services across our city. Many beloved institutions within our city were originally established by JLN, and members will continue this legacy of leadership in the 2025-2026 League year.

JLN is also focused on achieving Vision 2030, which is our commitment to ensuring that our organization provides the following for our members and our community:
• A culture of inclusion and belonging
• A powerful, collective voice for improving the community
• An enduring legacy of impactful volunteer service
• Transformative leadership and development experiences
• A place to deepen connections

As always, the Junior League of Nashville will continue to show up to meet the needs of our community. I am honored to serve alongside each one of our remarkably talented, smart, and passionate members. They are what make us special and are the heart of our League. They work tirelessly behind the scenes, champion each other’s work, and challenge each other to be the best version of themselves every day. It is a privilege to learn from them, lead with them, and experience the joy that comes with the many triumphs and growth they achieve throughout every League year.

As you continue to learn more about the Junior League of Nashville, it is my sincere hope that you will share in our excitement about who we are as an organization and the impact that our members make in our community every day. We would love for you to join us in our mission to “advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training” in the way that is most meaningful to you.

This is truly an exciting time to be part of our League. Thank you for being here and for your support of the Junior League of Nashville. I welcome you to reach out with any questions!

Respectfully,

Bethany Rhoten
President, 2025-2026
