JLN President Krystal Clark was at Vanderbilt Tuesday, June 27th, to present a check for $500,000 to Dr. Meg Rush, Chief of Staff and Executive Medical Director, for Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and Kathryn Carell Brown, Chair of the Growing to New Heights Campaign.

The check is the first installment in payments that will total a 1.5 million dollar gift to be paid to Vanderbilt through JLN’s centennial in 2022. The gift will support the Growing to New Heights campaign, the hospital’s four-floor expansion. Subsequent annual payments will support the Junior League Home Arts and Entertainment Program, an effort of the Child Life Program, which works with patients and families to promote a positive medical experience. This gift will represent the league’s largest ever to the Child Life program at Children’s Hospital.
