As the Junior League of Nashville enters its 105th year of service, the organization continues to expand its impact across Middle Tennessee through partnerships focused on improving literacy and alleviating poverty. What began as a strategic commitment to these focus areas has grown into hands-on programs that connect League members with children, families, and educators throughout the community.

In 2024, the Junior League of Nashville partnered with the Nashville Public Library Foundation’s Begin Bright initiative, helping strengthen early literacy by supporting childcare centers, caregivers, and families with resources that encourage language development and school readiness from the earliest years.

Building on that momentum, JLN launched a new partnership with Napier Elementary School in 2025, where League members now volunteer each Saturday to provide tutoring and individualized academic support for students. The program extends the League’s investment in literacy beyond early childhood, creating consistent opportunities for students to build confidence and strengthen foundational reading skills.

These partnerships reflect a broader commitment to meeting community needs through collaboration, service, and long-term investment. While the programs continue to grow, they also create meaningful opportunities for League members to develop as leaders, build lasting friendships, and connect with other women who share a passion for service. Together, those relationships strengthen the League’s ability to make a lasting difference for Nashville’s children and families.
