The Junior League of Nashville is an organization of women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and a commitment to voluntarism. We welcome your interest in learning more about membership admission to the Junior League of Nashville.
Our 2013-2014 Provisional Application is closed. We look forward to accepting applications for our 2014-2015 Provisonal class in Spring 2014!
In order to be considered for membership in the Junior League of Nashville, prospective members must:
- Be 23 years of age or older
- Live in the greater
- Possess a commitment to voluntarism
- Attend a New Member Information session
- Have a commitment from one Active or Sustaining member of the Junior League of
Provisional Course
The Junior League of Nashville trains a class of first-year members (Provisionals) to be effective volunteers and leaders in our community each year starting in September. Provisional members complete a comprehensive training series that allows them to learn about our League structure and programs, as well as experience some of our community programs first-hand.
Once admitted as a Provisional member of the Junior League of Nashville, members must complete the following Provisional Course expectations:
Provisional Meetings: Attend six (6) Provisional meetings.
General Membership Meetings: Attend a minimum of five (5) General Membership Meetings.
Council Meetings: Attend a minimum of one (1) Council meeting.
Training Sessions: Attend a minimum of one (1) training session.
Agency Tour: Attend an Agency Tour that highlights several JLN funded community agencies.
Service Project: Participate in a minimum of one (1) service project.
Fundraising Shifts: Complete three (3) fundraising shifts for a total of 12 hours.
Mandatory 3 hour Provisional Orientation in August: time/date TBA, must be attended. Only pre-approved absences will be permitted.
Pay Dues: Provisional dues are due on March 1, 2013 and are $325.
